Now, I know readers, I know.. it's a very strong statement but if you actually listen to these songs produced by the magnificent band Radiohead you'd agree with me.
This band has an ability to keep up the level of fantastic songs for nearly 30 years! Incredible! The first album was released in 1993 and this contains some of my favourite Radiohead songs. Such as 'creep'. However I think over time they have somehow improved. Its not just the sound of their music that is good, its the writing. The lyrics are very meaningful and they have a subtle way of adding different sounds into each song. For example, listen to '15 step'.
They're absolutely outstanding to watch live as they sound exactly the same as recording. Credit goes to Thom Yorke who is a superb front man with a beautiful voice.
I strongly recommend getting the best hits compilation album. 2 discs of pure joy. The quality of songs is incredible and I'd also recommend getting their 2nd most recent album 'In Rainbows' I couldn't find one bad track on it.
Now I know Radiohead are a strange band, they don't really have a genre but if it would, it would be alternative, very alternative. However, I want you to try them out for me. I can almost guarantee you'll be amazed.
