Diamond Jubilee (And More) 06/06/12

The Jubilee celebrations taking place.
The Diamond Jubilee has sparked patriotic emotion across not just the UK but throughout the commonwealth nations such asJamaica and Australia. No expense has been spared for the Jubilee celebrations. Planes flew over Buckingham Palace as part of an impressive display and more than a thousand vessels making their way down the Thames. It's left a lot of the public asking: "Where is this double dip recession we have all been hearing about?" Well it's still here, we are still in recession, BUT, this celebration will make little difference on the nations or your personal finance. This is because the royal family cost around 62p a year to the tax payer that the same as a chocolate bar and I for one enjoy the royal family just as much as as I enjoy a chocolate bar!

I enjoyed the jubilee celebrations but I can't help feeling that the Jubilee has belittled more important news such as the new EU plan to stop the banks failing, or the death of a head leader of Al-Qaeda. The whole country has seemed to turned its undivided attention to the Jubilee, disregarding everything else. But, after all, it is only for four days and it seems to make a lot of people happy, cheering up a nation that does not have much to smile about.

From everyone here at El Senores, we hope you enjoyed the celebrations as much as we did.
