Seeking a Friend for the End of the World preview and prediction!

It's unlikely that many of you reading this have seen the trailers for this film with the release date being a fair way off (July 13), which is why I'm here bringing you great updates and previews on all the latest releases!Despite a narrative involving the end of the world, this film is a comedy and judging by the trailer seems to be working well to portray that. There's no doubt that the narrative itself encompasses originality as unlike many other films the mission to save the world has failed and the film focuses on the people left behind dealing with their impending doom in all of the ways you'd expect them to, by looting, crying and copious amounts of sex with strangers/possible orgies. Essentially, this film is likely to do its jobs and provide a bitter sweet theme that involves romance, loss and laughs.
My prediction (Possible spoiler alert - only if I'm right)
I think this film seems fairly predictable, yes its totally different circumstances than most other movies these days but theres still some things that stay the same. For example, this film is about Steve Carells character(Dodge) and Kiera Knightley's character(Penny) going on a road trip like adventure to find 'The one that got away' Dodge, while Penny seems to be accompanying him out of sheer lonliness and a desire to see her family again. In my mind its clear what will happen...They will go on this trip have a lot of crazy things happen to the pair of them, eventually they will fall for each other but only she will accept it at first, he'll meet 'The one that got away' Penny will be distraught, Dodge will have a chance with the one that got away and give it all up for Penny. This is where it gets tricky either Dodge will desperately try to get to Penny but the world will end before they will get a chance to see each other OR it will be a bitter sweet ending where Dodge makes the effort, gets to Penny and they are reunited and confess their love moments or hopefully longer(Im an old romantic) before the world is destroyed.
But hey, chances are I'm totally wrong (Its happened before) and it will all end happily ever after without the total extinction of the human race!
