Another Senor was pretty keen I check this out and write a preview analysis and I'm glad he asked so. This is because once again Ubisoft have produced a stunner.
The game this time seems to be set during the American civil war and the best thing about the E3 footage is that Ubisoft have implemented weather. The difference between this and other games is that it seems to effect the player, you can clearly see that the assassin must drag his way through the snow rather than just running on top.
Another feature put in the game is pretty damn cool. By that I am talking about the hunting. It reminds me of games like Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption where I would just go round shooting animals but I am hoping that the use of a bow & arrow would require some skill, similar to Skyrim.
That brings me onto the next thing. The weapons. There are guns, but that's something familiar to the series. A difference would be the type of gun because at that period of time cannons and rifles were available so I'm sure other such gizmos will be there to buy. Wesee some kind of rope killing contraption and an axe which seems pretty cool.
With the use of weapons we see brand new or improved animations. Movement appears to be more solid and fluent while going person to person hacking their face off. Also the short snippet of climbing right at the end seems to be improved.
Overall I'd say this game is a defo buy for those that have owned the other games and loved them. Even if you haven't played the others keep an eye on this future bad boy.
