Top Gun: Hard Lock Review

The original Top Gun
movie poster.
I have seen the movie a few times and must say it is great with Tom Cruise and his mighty wing men but I am here to talk about one of the games in the Top Gun series.

The game has the basic plot line where you are a fighter pilot and must shoot down other planes. Simple as that. However that is not what the game is best known for, the action while in air is of epic proportions. When it comes to making evasive manoeuvres it goes into some slow motion camera action as you watch the missile miss by a mere inch and as 20 different jets are fighting simultaneously in the sky, you must try and take down that one enemy.

The best and ultimate thing about all of the Top Gun video games has to be the audio/music. The soundtrack is a very well known one and the music added during game play intensifies playing by ten fold!
Congratulations to the people who did all that and I really do hope you get some sort of award because I love it.

One of the crazy action pact moments.
But as we all know for every good there is bad and the problem I found with this game is that it got a bit tough as the action starting building up. There was too much to keep up with and then out of no where a missile would come and blow you to smithereens. Thinking about though it could be their way of showing how intense it really is being a fighter pilot. Another downer is that it seems to be a bit short for my liking as I prefer my money to be spent on something that will give me a lot of entertainment hours.

Overall I'd have to say I love this game and so do the guys here at El Senores. For that I'll be giving Top Gun: Hard Lock a

7 out of 10
