Players will have the option of deathmatch modes along with playing together in teams. Strategy and stealth are key to success as gamers work in stealth to accomplish successful assassinations using an array of items and abilities.
Beyond slaying enemies in multiplayer mode, players will experience battle at sea as Assassin's Creed 3 introduces its new naval war gameplay. Controlling your own wooden battleship, gamers will coordinate their crew to fire a variety of cannonballs at opposing British ships. The success of naval battle relies on reload time and how well players can handle the natural elements. Certain cannon shots can delay the enemies reload time while others decimate heavy damage. Aside from firing shots, crew members can board ships for some hand to hand combat.
